Jake Fortag

Jake Fortag recently celebrated his first year with the firm, although it’s becoming increasingly difficult to remember a time when he wasn’t part of the team!

Jake brings a much needed dose of humour and personality to the office, along with a genuine ‘can-do’ attitude. Currently seated across Litigation and Probate, Jake has fully immersed himself in his role and is never afraid to go the extra mile. He approaches every challenge with enthusiasm and is always willing to get stuck in and give things a go.

That attitude was put to the test when Jake took on Barclays in a charity football match in aid of Mulberry Cancer Support. More recently, when the possibility of taking part in a charity marathon was casually put to him, his response was characteristically laid back: ‘Yeah, throw me. I’ll do it’. For Jake, it seems the answer is almost always yes – the details can come later!

His commitment to the firm has now gone one step further. Jake has officially signed on the dotted line, embarking on a six-year apprenticeship with MKK Solicitors. So, whether he realised it or not, he’s now very much locked in with us for the long haul!

Jake’s enthusiasm isn’t limited to the office. He is known for his legendary appetite and is often accused of having ‘hollow legs’ – because no matter how much he eats, there always seems to be room for more.

Outside of work, Jake is a Chelsea fan through and through and proudly holds a Chelsea membership. He’s an avid supporter of the football club and enjoys getting to the matches whenever he can. He also enjoys a good night out and having a laugh with friends, but family is equally important to him. When he’s not at Stamford Bridge or socialising, you may find Jake behind the wheel on one of his long road trips to Italy, where his family has a home.

One thing is certain, whether it’s work, football, a charity challenge or a spontaneous road trip, Jake is always game.
