Furthermore, applications for civil representation backed by evidence of domestic violence or child abuse increased by 2%, while the proportion of these granted remained high at 83%.

Exceptional Case Funding (ECF)

ECF applications, which allow for legal aid in cases not normally covered by standard legal aid provisions, saw a 3% decrease in the last quarter compared to the previous year. This drop was driven primarily by a fall in applications within the immigration category.
