Soran Khider

Soran Khider, professionally known as Soran Speroy, is a Country of Origin Expert, political analyst and Director of Speroy Consultancy. He is a trusted name in asylum and immigration matters, and his insight is a real asset to the firms and clients who work with him.

Soran specialises in Kurdish issues in Iraq and Iran, and provides independent expert witness services to law firms across the UK. His knowledge of Kurdish political, social and cultural affairs is both wide and deep, and he has a gift for turning complex subject matter into clear, reliable evidence.

His academic background is just as strong. Soran holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Essex and a BA (Hons) in Politics and Sociology from the University of Brighton. Before establishing his consultancy, he built up valuable experience in due diligence, investigative work and immigration-related research, which shows in the thoroughness he brings to every report. He is fluent in Kurdish (Sorani) and English.
