Professional Profile

Three years after giving birth to her second child, and following her recovery from cancer, Maliha Khan found herself at a crossroads. What she describes as an ‘epiphany’ or, as she affectionately calls it; a ‘moment of madness’ which led her to make one of the biggest decisions of her life – to open her own law firm.

With her youngest daughter just six months old, Maliha knew it was a now or never moment. After more than a decade working across different law firms, she had experienced first hand the challenges of building a career in the legal profession, particularly as a woman. Rather than accepting that this was simply how things were, Maliha decided to create something different – a firm where she could shape the culture, set the standards and, importantly, help pave the way for others, both women and men to succeed.

As Director and Principal Solicitor, Maliha is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her determination to leave no stone unturned. She is passionate about doing things properly, challenging the status quo and ensuring that both clients and colleagues feel heard, supported and valued.

That same approach extends to the culture she has created within the firm. Maliha believes in an open and welcoming environment where curiosity is encouraged and people feel comfortable speaking up. You’ll often hear her say, ‘No question is a silly question’ For Maliha, it’s all about creating a team where people can learn, grow and have the confidence to ask, challenge and contribute.

Maliha’s commitment to supporting others extends beyond the firm. Having experienced cancer herself, she is proud to be an Advocate for Mulberry Cancer Support, an organisation dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer and their families. It is a cause that is particularly close to her heart, and one she is passionate about championing and raising awareness of.

Outside of work, Maliha is a big believer that you don’t need an excuse to have fun. Her favourite place to let her hair down is the living room, where you’ll often find her having a full on boogie with her two daughters! And when she does get a little time to herself, one of life’s simple luxuries is treating herself to having her nails done.
